India....can be daunting, for sure. If you travel low budget and rely on their kindness to show you the way, you are sometimes in for a rude awakening. I can understand this, to a certain degree: when you are struggling for survival, your focus isn't some Westerners coming by to check out your country. Energies are taken up in looking after te bare necessities; there's no charm in real poverty. That being said, there's also the side we show you in these photos. As soon as you get away from the touristy sites, you experience the kindness and curiosity of these wonderfully colorful people. There, they view you as fellow-humans and they will proudly show you their craft. Then, you can enter their world and marvel at the attention, dedication and ingenuity of their daily acts.
